I’ve just finished watching The Love of Siam on YT. It’s really a good movie. Comments keeps saying it is about gay love but I don’t think so.  Yes Mew is gay & he loves Tong but the movie does not focus on that alone.

• Witwisit Hiranyawongkul (Pchy) as Mew  - he looked so sweet as Mew
• Mario Maurer as as Tong  - he is really cute  (for some reason i think he is really familiar looking, can't recall where i've seen him before)

Remember the pillow talk Tong & Mew has on loneliness? Mew said he has one question; i.e.

If we can love someone so much, how will we be able to handle the one day when we are separated? And, if being separation in part of life and you know about separation well.  

Is it possible that we can love someone and never be afraid of losing them?

  The director has portrayed answers from different POVs:-

1)      Parents & Child

a)   How Tang’s parents deal with her loss. They practically shut down (dad being an alcoholic & mom seems to have narrow her world to Tong – being overly protective). At the end, it shows that Mom & Dad has not forgotten Tang & they themselves know that they are not handling the loss of their daughter.

b)  June & her parents  -  she deals with her loss by travelling & moving around.  Noticed that she has not kept a steady job and keeps moving from place to place.  It seems like she does not allow anyone to be close to her also.  Sort of like living in her own bubble.

 

2)      Boy-Girl

Ying-Mew-Tong triangle. Ying understand that Mew loves Tong & Tong is still confuse on his sexuality. She chose to stand by Mew & Tong as a friend. Yes it hurts her to let go of her love but it was done in order to for Mew to be happy.

 

3)      Friendship

Mew has friends but is afraid to lean/trust anyone (afraid that he will come to care for them & for them to leave him) [since people he loves always leave him – 1^st his parent left for work, 2^nd Tong moved away & 3^rd grandma died]. By going back o the band, he has shown that he is opening himself up to trust his friends too.

 

4)      Lovers (BL)

Tong said he cannot be Mew’s BF but it does not mean is not loved. 2 possibilities:-

a)       I think Tong does love Mew like a lover (not BFF – I’m really leaning on this). But he decides not to pursue their relationship now because of his family. Mom really needs Tong’s support emotionally, while Dad is really sick. Don’t think dad has long to live either, so Tong decides to put his attention to ‘heal’ his family. Sort of in the line of “do what he needs/wants to do for his family before it is too late”.

 

b)      Tong is straight but still loves Mew as BFF. He goes back to his family (noticed I don’t write more on this;  I really hope that is not what the director was aiming for XD)

3. Do you enjoy going to sch?
Actually yes! Hehe…I enjoy going to school cause I really don’t have much worries then.  Go to school, hang out with friends, study & go to bed.  I think I had it easy cause my parents don’t push me for studies.  They are happy as long as I stay in school & continue my studies.

The only thing I didn’t like about school was EXAM!

Now that I’m working, most of my colleagues have come to complain that they want to go back to school life XD

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Seriously,

1)       Pay off some debts

2)       Organize trips to Japan & Korea – to meet DBSK & go to their concerts.  Go where they go, eat where they eat. Oh to visit Junsu’s Dad’s pizza place.

3)       Organize trips for my closeknit friends to Thailand & USA.  We have been planning for sometime but something always gets in the way. 1^st trip will definitely be Chiangmai & Bangkok. We know how to do this on a budget but have not got a chance to go yet.  Trip to USA will be tricky caused we are in the age group whereby it is VERY VERY difficult for us to get a visa.  So having a million dollars should put the US Government as ease to issue us the visa.

5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?
eh..don’t think so. Mainly because we know each other too well to fall in love.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Equal as long as the love is returned (& not the possessive type).

 
7. List out your 5 fave yaoi couple. [in your world or in fantasy]

In my fantasy:- (well it is a fantasy as long as they have not announce it XD)

Yunho + Jaejoong
Yoochun + Junsu
Changmin + Keita (what to do been reading Crysolo lately XD)

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Wish him luck & move on. Life is too short for you to pin for someone who does not know how you feel.

9.Is there anything that has made you extremely happy?
a) Watching DBSK vids (especially Yunjae’s)!  They are just so adorkable sometimes that it makes me laugh. Just watched the vid on DBSK’s visit to Yu-Eun (KJH Chocolate) – so sweet & hilarious.

b) Reading DBSK fics. Nothing beats imagination & creativity of DBSK fans.

10. Do you have any regrets?
Not really. My motto is not to have regrets in life.  If it’s over & there is nothing you can do about it, don’t regret it.

11. How would you see yourself in 10 years time?
Hopefully financially independent/stable enough to take long vacations to go for DBSK concerts overseas (I presume in 10 years time, DBSK will expand globally).

12. Who is currently the most important people to you?
Family & friends. Something happened to a close friend of mine recently that makes me realize that friends do KNOW more about your life compare to your family.  No matter how close family members are, there are just some things you would only share with friends.

13. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Hardworking, indept thoughts/insightful, generous.  Hopefully we can get to know each other better.

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
Depends on which was my conscious choice. As long as it is a choice that I made & not something that I was forced into.

Single + Rich + close friends; then it is ok. We have an ongoing joke among my friends about this.  We will be godparents, baby sitter & anything else to each other’s children. Whoever that is not married will automatically be rope as baby sitter & guardian (most of the time) & married friends will take turns as well. So I can just spoil my friend’s kids rotten & then give them back to their parents later XD

Married + Poor is okay if he loves me & is considerate. I don’t need him to tell me that he loves me.  What I need is someone who is there at crunch time. No point being married if you have to handle all the problems on your own.  As long as he is there to support, advice (not tell), share with me that should be enough. Unlike death & taxes, you can escape poverty as long as you work hard at it.

15. What is your favourite colour?
It really depends on what it relates to. General – B&W, orange, Blue, Purple & etc.

On clothes – depends on occasion. Work clothes – black, earthly tones, something some thing bright (warm colours)

On furniture – natural wood colour

16. Would you give all in a relationship?
Depends on the other party.  Will not give my all, if I’m the only one trying to make the relationship work.

I think most people will reserve a part to themselves in any relationship in order to protect themselves from being hurt.

17. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
Won’t know until I’m in that situation.  

18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing the someone has done?
100% No. I can forgive but never forget especially if it was something horrible.

Most of the time, I’ll forgive – mainly because I don’t want to waste my energy & time to hate someone or something.  

But I won’t forget. It is something that I won’t constantly think about but I won’t totally forget it either.  

I believe everything that happens in life can be lesson, so these experiences can actually be kept for future reference.

19. Do you prefer being single or having a relationship?
haha….depends of whether I find someone I can have a relationship with.
